Tips for Home Delivery

To help you make your delivery go as smooth as possible, we recommend the following tips:

  • Remove pictures, mirrors, nails, plants and tables from walls and walkways in the path of the delivery.
  • Have your room ready for your new furniture -- clear of existing furniture.
  • Remove any breakable objects in the delivery area.
  • Lay rugs, blankets or cardboard down to protect wood or tile floors.
  • If furniture is to be placed on wood floors, place pieces of cloth under the legs or casters of furniture.
  • New furniture often seems larger in your home than in a store setting. One final measurement before delivery is recommended if you are concerned about space and size. If you are shopping for large furniture such as sofas, beds, armoires, dressers or entertainment centers, consider how the piece will fit into your home. Measure the piece, and then measure your door opening.
  • Our delivery team cannot remove other furniture already in the home. Also, we will not move existing electronics or other fragile items in your home.

Our delivery team will:

  • Place your furniture in the location you select.
  • Set up tables.
  • Install handles.
  • Put shelves in entertainment centers and china cabinets.
  • Unwrap living room sets.
  • Remove boxes and packing materials.

Delivery Information

We will call you the night before your delivery to verify your address and delivery date. Please be sure we have your correct address and telephone number on the invoice. Also be sure we have two different telephone numbers where you can be reached.

You will be called the morning of delivery between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m at which time you will receive a 2-1/2-hour delivery window.

For your convenience, our drivers may call you up to an hour prior to arriving at your home. Let us know if you would like us to call you at work or call a friend or neighbor who will meet the truck at your home.

Drivers cannot deliver furniture unless someone 18 years or older is at the home at the time of delivery.

We do accept payments of up to $250.00 upon delivery. Payments should be made by cash, certified check or cashier's check.

Please inspect your merchandise carefully, noting any defects on the delivery copy. All service claims regarding visual damage on a new furniture purchase must be reported to our service department within 48 hours of delivery. Please call your store to report the information.

Customer Pick-up Policy

Our warehouse is open for customer pick-ups Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. You may also pick up your furniture at any of our store locations Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Should you wish to pick up your furniture at the store please call the store 48 hours prior to your desired pick-up date. This allows proper time to transfer your furniture to the store.

For your protection you will be asked to show a driver's license at the time you pick up your furniture. Should you wish to allow a friend or relative to pick up the furniture please notify us at the point-of-sale.

Please inspect your furniture carefully prior to pick-up. We cannot be held responsible for damage caused after the furniture leaves our premises.

Gardner-White Policy for Deliveries inside our service area

When purchasing or ordering from one of our stores, we encourage you to take measurements, match colors, and test the furniture for comfort and style prior to purchase.

If, Within 7 days of delivery, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you are welcome to select another item or cancel your purchase for a refund. All returns and Re selections are subject to a handling fee of twenty-five percent (25%) of the sale price. Merchandise reselection or refund is available only if the original merchandise is returned in new condition, inspection may be required.

The following exclusions apply: Bedding, special orders, floor samples, delivery charges, AS IS merchandise, Wood care, Mattress protection, fabric protection, and leather protection are not refundable.

Please inspect your merchandise thoroughly upon delivery. Any damage or defect must be noted on your signed delivery slip and you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Depending on the severity of the damage, we will have the item repaired by our professional repair service at no charge to you; or, if the damage or defect cannot be repaired, we will arrange for replacement of the damaged piece.

Gardner- White Policies for Deliveries Outside our Service Area & Items Delivered Via UPS

Some items ship via UPS, these items are delivered to your door ONLY in there original factory wrap. (Some Items My Require Assembly.) All Items that ship UPS are indicated at the bottom of the items description.

Larger items are delivered to your home by a home delivery carrier. The Cost of your delivery is determined by the weight and size of the Items you Pick.

Please inspect your merchandise thoroughly upon delivery. Any damage or defect must be noted on your signed delivery slip and you must contact us immediately. We will arrange for replacement of the damaged piece.

If you wish to return any item for any reason other than delivery damage or defect, you must contact us within 7 days. Item(s) must be in new condition, you must use our carrier and you will be responsible for the cost of the return delivery as well as a 25% restocking Fee.
