Customer Service Associates - Apply Now
Customer Service Associates are vital members of the Gardner-White team! Customer Service Associates work closely with our sales team in the stores to process and finalize sales. This position is also on the front line of customer service and interacts with customers regularly to answer questions and promptly address customer issues.
Helpful, Friendly Candidates, with a high degree of Professionalism, are needed to work flexible, varied schedules, including Nights, Weekends and Holidays. Part Time positions work an average of 25 hours per week.
Prior experience dealing with Customers is preferred; applicants must be well-versed in utilizing computer-based systems and able to multi-task. Customer Service Associates have regular performance-based tests, which determines eligibility for pay increases.
Delivery Drivers/Driver Helpers - Apply Now
Gardner-White, Metro Detroit’s only Furniture Retailer offering Same-Day/Seven-Days-A-Week Delivery, has immediate opportunities for Delivery Drivers and Helpers. These positions involve delivering furniture to customers' homes, including assembling furniture, loading the truck, communicating the delivery schedule, and addressing customer service concerns at the time of delivery.
All positions are based in our Auburn Hills Distribution Center for deliveries throughout the Greater Metro Detroit Area.
- Previous Experience with In-Home Furniture Delivery
- Valid Chauffeur’s License with Clean Driving Record

Receiving - Apply Now
This position is responsible for unloading and receiving the goods that have been shipped to the Auburn Hills Warehouse.
- Checking goods against invoices.
- Performing quality control processes to ensure that all serial numbers are captured at time of receipt
- Stocking furniture in the warehouse to ensure accurate, undamaged inventory
- Processing returns to vendor, including packaging, loading and verifying return orders
- Pulling orders, staging, and assisting customers at the time of pick up
- Recording shipment data to better track productivity
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; lift; use hands and arms to lift, reach and place materials, and use both gross and fine motor skills. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 100 pounds, or to team-lift as necessary

If you enjoy working with people, want to develop a successful career, and want to earn a generous living, this could be the career for you Some of our most successful sales consultants were waiters or waitresses, bartenders, teachers, interior designers or selling other products prior to joining Gardner-White. However, Gardner-White does not require any previous sales experience. All that is required is a desire to succeed, work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
Gardner-White tries to ensure a smooth transition to a commissioned sales environment for new hires. There are six weeks of guaranteed income for all new sales associates. This includes a paid training course. Mentorship opportunities are available at the store- level once new sales consultants complete the training course. Additionally, all Gardner- White sales consultants participate in continuing education to ensure they know the latest in product trends, and so that they continue to improve their skills and grow their income.
SALARY & BENEFITS: Our average sales consultant earns $52,000. Top salaries are over $110,000. More than one-third of Gardner-White sales consultants earn more than $80,000. Additionally, our sales consultants find this to be a rewarding place to work - much of our workforce has been at Gardner-White for at least 10 years. A generous employee discount plan is available. All full-time consultants are eligible for Blue Cross coverage, vision and dental insurance, disability insurance, 401k with company match, paid vacation and personal days.
