Grace Centers of Hope

 

 

 

 

 

 

Grace Centers of Hope is the oldest and largest faith-based, residential, one year life skills program in southeast Michigan. Grace Centers of Hope offers a comprehensive 1 year life skills program for men, women, and children who are suffering from the effects of drug and alcohol addiction. Each year we provide over 100,000 meals and 50,000 nights of stay to our residents, free of charge. Grace Centers of Hope receives NO GOVERNMENT FUNDING.

The Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA) is an open enrollment, tuition free, public charter high school on the Northwest side of Detroit. The Academy currently serves over 400 ninth through twelfth grade students and graduated its inaugural class in June 2015 – one hundred percent of the Academy’s graduates have gained college, trade/technical school or military acceptance.
JRLA provides a leadership-focused education that engages and inspires youth to achieve at the rigorous level necessary to ultimately graduate with a college degree.  Focused on a 9-16 model, the College Success Team works ceaselessly with current scholars and alumni to provide college counseling and support to not only make sure they graduate from high school, but college as well – outcomes that are real game changers in urban education. Lighthouse of Oakland County provides guidance and resources to help Southeast Michigan individuals and families move from economic crisis towards stability and self-sufficiency. Lighthouse operates Oakland County’s only five-day-per-week
food pantry.

Community Housing Network’s mission to end homelessness and provide affordable housing options never ends. The group’s passionate advocates are devoted to providing homes for people in need and access to resources to create sustainable communities. They provide affordable housing and resources to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, people with disabilities, love income, those facing foreclosure and other vulnerable members of the southeast Michigan community.

Volunteers are needed to help execute special events and provide administrative office support. Volunteers must be 12 and older.

Children With Hair Loss

 

 

 

 

Children With Hair Loss was created as a resource for ALL CHILDREN who have medically-related hair loss. It is our mission to empower these children to become whole again by making hair replacement available to those who may be financially challenged and might otherwise not have a means of obtaining the hair they want and need.

Our goal is to assist as many of these children as possible in changing their lives by improving their outlook and empowering them with a degree of self-confidence that will allow them to face the world with renewed self-esteem.

Volunteers are needed to help provide administrative office support and with special fundraising events.
