Gardner-White and Humble Design Transform Home for Family in Need

Wednesday, September 20th was a great day to be part of the Gardner-White team – we participated in another Day of Service in partnership with Humble Design, and saw a family’s future transformed. That’s a pretty good day on the job.

Watch the reveal below:

After growing up in shelters, our client today can finally call this place home. Her and her young kids ended up in a shelter after being homeless. With furniture provided by Gardner-White and their volunteers here today helping us make this house a home, we are just so excited to welcome this family home!

U-Haul Gardner-White

Posted by Humble Design on Wednesday, September 20, 2017

There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd when the family arrived to their new home.

Humble Design works with families coming out of homeless shelters, and helps them to make their house into a home. Most of these families come with virtually nothing, and certainly aren’t toting around a mattress to sleep on, or a table at which to do homework or share a meal. This is where Gardner-White has stepped in and provided furnishings to help these families transition out of homelessness and into a successful fresh start. On Friday, the Gardner-White team took our commitment one step further and transformed the house ourselves, not only with furniture, but also with some major elbow grease.
