  1. Dust the surface

Begin by dusting the surface of the wood furniture using either a microfiber cloth or a duster. It’s important to use a lint-free cloth during this process to avoid potential scratches.

  2. Use a cleaning solution

Mix a solution of a few drops of mild dish soap for every two cups of water, or an approved wood cleaning solution. If you are mixing soap and water, use a small bowl.

  3. Spot Test

Before applying the cleaning solution to the entire surface, it’s a good idea to do a spot test in a discreet area to ensure it won’t cause any discoloration or damage.

  4. Wipe down the wood

Dip a microfiber cloth into the chosen cleaning solution and wring out excess liquid. With attention to the wood grain, wipe the wood following the grain to prevent scratches.
