On Tuesday, January 11th, Gardner White donated furniture to MCREST‘s newly renovated homeless shelter in Mount Clemens. MCREST (Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team) is a nonprofit homeless shelter that provides meals, lodging, life-skills training, housing assistance, job readiness training, and emergency shelter to Macomb County’s homeless population. This new facility will house up to 45 women and children at one time, and will serve as a permanent address for 90 days or until the family finds housing.
“As a family-owned business for four generations in Michigan, we know the importance of keeping families together and providing them with comfort and care during an incredibly difficult time,” said Rachel Stewart, president of Gardner White. “The services at MCREST will help families maintain health and wellness. We’re proud that our furniture can help in that mission.” In addition to donating furniture, Gardner White partnered with Bedgear who donated 100 twin-sized pillows to the shelter.
