Pet of the Week: JD Cooper (Adopted!)

Cattle Dog in car looking over backseat

Each week, we feature a Pet of the Week available for adoption from K9 Stray Rescue League in Oxford, MI.

Meet JD Cooper, a Cattle Dog mix. 🐶

Just look at that cute face, adorable! JD Cooper is estimated to be about 1 year old and weighs 38 pounds.

This sweet boy just loves to give kisses and to be close to you. JD Cooper’s main goal in life is getting attention! He is quite submissive though, he flinches with fast movements and cowers when you put a leash on him. He will definitely need an experienced adopter who has the time and patience to provide confidence building and leadership. JD Cooper does have a lot of energy as well and with his herding breed, he will need an active home. He would also do best in a home where any children were at least 8 years old, due to his timid, insecure nature. One of the wonderful K9 Stray Rescue League volunteers took him on a field trip, he had so much fun and did great in the car, it was such a cute picture!

If there is another dog in the home, he will need a meet and greet.
