Pet of the Week – Roger

Each week, we feature a Pet of the Week from K9 Stray Rescue League in Oxford.

Meet Roger, a Mastiff Mix. 🐶

Sweet Roger is a handsome boy with his brindle coat. He is estimated to be between 1-3 years old and weighs 50 pounds right now.

As you can see from a couple pictures, he is a little skinny, but we are working hard at the rescue to change that. This poor boy was found in a cage in an abandoned home with a few other dogs. Even after this, he is so sweet and connecting, with more of a calm, gentle demeanor. Roger seems to be a very go with the flow type of guy. He does need an experienced adopter though, due to his size and breed, which requires a leader to be successful out in the world. It would be wonderful if his new family could work on building his confidence and some basic obedience too. Roger would do best in a home where any children are at least 8 years old.

He seemed to really come out of his shell when another dog entered the room, so another friendly doggy sibling may be good for building his confidence. If you are interested in this wonderful boy, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch.
