Judson Center

Judson Center is a non-profit human services agency that provides compassionate, comprehensive services to children and families throughout southeast Michigan. Since opening our doors 95 years ago, we have grown to provide services to over 10,000 children, adults and families each year. We have been changing fates and restoring childhoods for children who have been abused and neglected, and others who are challenged by developmental disabilities, severe emotional impairments and autism spectrum disorder.

AREAS SERVED: Wayne County, Oakland County, Macomb County, Livingston County, Monroe County, Washtenaw County, St. Clair County, Genesee County, Lapeer County

AGES SERVED: All ages

WISH LIST:
Diapers (all sizes), baby formula, personal hygiene products, new clothing, new toys, new bed sheets, new blankets and new comforters.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Judson Center offers volunteer opportunities year-round for individuals, groups, civic organizations and corporate team members. Opportunities include helping during the Holiday Wish campaign, events, community programs, facility enhancement, child care and administrative tasks.

AGE OF VOLUNTEERS: Adults 18 and older, Limited opportunities for 14-17 year olds. Some opportunities require adults to accompany minors.

Lighthouse Michigan

Lighthouse was established in 2019 when Lighthouse of Oakland County and South Oakland Shelter merged, bringing together more than 75 years of experience serving metro Detroiters in need. The new Lighthouse provides a stronger collective response to homelessness and poverty, offering a broad range of services to help individuals and families including a rotating emergency shelter program with 67 partner congregations and Oakland County’s only five-day-per-week food pantry, serving 28,500+ people annually.
