One holiday tradition we have here at Gardner-White Furniture is to help families in need. That’s why, every year, we partner with FOX 2 Detroit and Volunteers of America, Michigan to provide families a happier holiday with Adopt A Family.
Stop into any Gardner-White location and pick a family off the tree to support until December 18th. Once you have chosen a family, call the Adopt A Family hotline at (248) 353-4862 and enter the reference number on your family card.
There are thousands of families in need in our community. Please lend a helping hand this holiday season by supporting a local family through Adopt A Family.

About Adopt A Family

The Adopt A Family program has been serving those in need across Michigan since 1993. In the 22-year history of this special program, hope and joy – along with toys, clothing and meals — have been brought to children, seniors and veterans in poverty during the season that is supposed to be the happiest time of the year. In 2014, our community came together and served over 9,000 unique individuals.
Families and individuals apply and are screened for participation. All must demonstrate need (income at no more than 20% above the federal poverty level). Families and
individuals must have children younger aged 16 and younger or be above 62 years in age and complete an application at www.adoptafamilymichigan.org
Sponsors (individuals, families, teams, organizations, businesses) adopt families for the holidays. Sponsors provide at least one new toy and one new outfit for each child in the family, as well as a special holiday meal. Many sponsors provide much more!
