Easterseals Michigan

Since 1920 Easterseals Michigan has worked to change the way the world defines and views disability by making profound, positive differences in people’s lives every day. Currently nearly 12,500 people turn to Easterseals Michigan for a variety of services for a wide range of disabilities including autism, PTSD, depression, substance abuse, mental illness, ADD, ADHD, behavioral disorders, senior services and much more.

AREAS SERVED: State of Michigan

AGES SERVED: All Ages

WISH LIST:
– Gift cards (major grocery & retail stores, drug stores, home improvement, gas stations)
– New or gently used toys (used in autism services)
– Arts and crafts supplies (paints, colored pencils, yarn, construction paper, etc.)
– Tickets to family-friendly attractions (sporting events, zoo, aquarium, museums, etc.)

All donations stay in Michigan and serve residents of Michigan.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Help with fundraising events: on-site registration, event set up, clean up, helping children and young adults with disabilities or special needs play baseball – and more.

AGE OF VOLUNTEERS: Adults and children 15 and up (children must be accompanied by an adult)

Forgotten Harvest

Forgotten Harvest dedicated to relieving hunger in metro Detroit and preventing nutritious food waste.

AREAS SERVED: Wayne County, Oakland County, Macomb County

AGES SERVED: All ages

WISH LIST: Food donations, Auction Items, Cargo Van, Box Truck, Farm equipment & Event Sponsorships.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Repacking and gleaning food, planting and harvesting crops on our farm, administrative and data entry assistance, supporting our warehouse and other activities. Long term volunteer opportunities available.

AGE OF VOLUNTEERS: Adults and children 10 and up (children must be accompanied by an adult)
