We Think Our Delivery is Awesome and Here’s Why

You just bought new furniture for your home that you LOVE. But how are you getting it home? You could load it up in a truck, but there’s risk of damage and what if it rains? Leave it to the professionals!

We wanted to find a better way to serve our customers, so in 2014, we started Same Day Delivery. When you order by 3pm any day of the week (even Sunday!), you can have it in your home that night! Gardner-White is proud to be the only company in Michigan offering same day delivery to our customers. We have different furniture and mattress delivery options to accommodate your busy lifestyle. Buying a mattress? Your Same Day Delivery is FREE with a mattress purchase of $699+!

Some areas are outside our typical delivery zones and are limited to specified days of delivery. If you have questions about your delivery zone, simply enter your zip code in the Delivery Check box on our website. It will list your delivery options.

Have old furniture you need to get rid of? We have a FREE furniture pick-up! Gardner-White has partnered with the Salvation Army to offer pick-up service of your used furniture in advance of your Gardner-White delivery. When you place your order, you can elect to have a separate pick-up of your used furniture. The Salvation Army sells your used furniture, with proceedings supporting their local operations and benefiting our entire community. Please consult with your sales associate about this option at the time of sale.

We don’t want you to have to take a full day off work and wait all day at home for a delivery. When you choose delivery, your first decision is whether you’d like daytime delivery or evening delivery.

What To Expect On Delivery Day

The day that you scheduled your delivery, you will get a call in the morning (daytime delivery) or afternoon (evening delivery) with a three-hour window that they drivers expect to be at your house.

From there, you can Track Your Delivery with our Delivery Tracker.  Our Delivery Tracker will tell you what stop you are, what time it is expected your furniture will arrive, and where they are at. That way you can plan your day accordingly and know when you can expect your delivery.

Please inspect your merchandise carefully upon delivery in your home, noting any defects on the delivery paperwork. All service claims regarding visual damage on a new furniture purchase must be reported to our service department within 48 hours of delivery. Please call your store to report any damages. If an item needs to be returned, please note our return policy.

Tips to ensure a smooth delivery

  • New furniture often seems larger in your home than in a store setting. Consider how your new furniture will fit into your home. Use our handy “Will it Fit” measurement guide to ensure furniture will fit through your home’s doorways, hallways and/or elevator before purchasing.
  • Have your room ready for your new furniture — clear of existing furniture.
  • Lay rugs, blankets or cardboard down to protect floors.
  • Remove pictures, mirrors, nails, plants and tables from walls and walkways in the path of the delivery.
  • Our delivery team cannot move existing electronics or other fragile items in your home, so be sure to remove any breakable objects in the delivery area.
