Each week, we will be featuring a Pet of the Week from K9 Stray Rescue League in Oxford.
Meet Booker, a Pit Bull Terrier Mix.
Hello everyone, My name is Booker! Before landing myself in a foster home with K9 Stray Rescue League, I had a rough start! I was found as a stray and taken to animal control. No one came for me. There they discovered I was heartworm positive. I was thrown a lifeline and was taken to K9SRL. I was treated for heartworm there. Everyone said I handled it like a champ! I am so grateful to be given a second chance at life and allowed to show the world what a great dog I am. Now I am in a wonderful foster home and am really thankful to be with them. I’m super affectionate! I’m happiest when I’m close to people. I take treats gently and don’t beg for food. I’m doing amazing with potty training in their home. I do know my name and come when called. Whenever any one of my foster family members sits on the couch, he/she invite me to join up there. Wow this is awesome! I quickly will fall asleep on any one of them at any time of the day. My foster family has been pretty impressed with me! Are you?
