HAVEN

For 45 years, HAVEN has been Oakland County’s only agency that provides comprehensive services for survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We provide safe emergency shelter, counseling, court advocacy and educational programming to nearly 30,000 people each year. Our mission is to empower survivors to heal and to engage all individuals and communities to address and prevent physical and sexual violence. Everyone deserves to live a life without fear and with the support of our community, we will continue providing free, critical & necessary services to survivors and their children.

COTS

For more than 35 years, COTS has been committed to serving the most vulnerable members of the Detroit community. COTS provides shelter, housing, and support to more than 1,200 people annually – 60 percent of whom are children. Through its Passport to Self- Self Sufficiency™, COTS assists families in reaching their housing, economic, health, education, and career goals through mobility coaching, mentorship, and support as they strive to overcome homelessness and break the cycle poverty for the next generation and beyond.
