Each week, we will be featuring a Pet of the Week from K9 Stray Rescue League in Oxford.
Meet Tucker, a young Coonhound.
Tucker is about as good looking as you can get, just look at that face! He is a playful young guy and enjoys attention. He loves to go exploring and is the biggest goof ball, he will make you laugh every day. Tucker is so smart too, he really watches his handler, sits right in front of you unprompted and with good eye contact, waiting for the next activity. He wants to work his mind, wants to learn and so wants to please you, you can see it in him. He likes to carry a toy on his walks, the other day, the duck went on a very long walk with him, too cute! Tucker for sure needs an active home and an adopter who can set limits. He has a little bit of a rough play style as well, so due to that, he needs to a home where any children are at least 13 years old. He is just waiting for a family to give him a chance and he can’t wait to go on many fun adventures with them and to be loved. Tucker is at Camp Bow Wow right now, they have generously offered to help get some of our pups adopted, so if you are interested in him, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. This super cute and fun loving boy can’t wait to find his forever family.
Tucker was in a foster home for a few weeks and his foster mom said he was crate trained, house broken (in her home, but please always allow any dog, time to be retrained in a new environment) and a gentleman in the house! What a good boy.
We have also had a wonderful update from Camp Bow Wow: Tucker is just loving his time at Camp Bow Wow! He is super social and is making new friends like crazy: from both the workers and the visiting camp dogs. He now has friends that he looks forward to seeing during the week. He is behaving like a gentleman and showing off his skills: sit, wait, come, as well as listening well to direction and guidance. Tucker can’t wait for the right family to swoop him up and show him the good life!
If you are interested in adopting Tucker or finding out more information, please call K9 Stray Rescue League at (248) 628-0435 to see if he’s still available. You can find other adoptable dogs here.
