Detroit Institute for Children

For almost 100 years, we have provided services to children with special needs, their families and professionals who support them. In 2017, we launched a Summer Learning Program, SLIDE, designed to provide continuation of therapy services for children with special needs during the summer months.

Offered at no cost to families, the program allows children who would not receive services to continue to develop their skills. We make summer a time for fun and development for special kids!

We provide workshops to help educate those who care and support children with special needs so that each child can reach their greatest potential. We ARE what special needs!
