Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan

Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan, founded 1993 serving Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties, is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) hands-on, all-member volunteer organization whose purpose is to clothe, feed, educate, and comfort infants, children, and adults through community-based programs. Our signature Philanthropic Program, Operation School Bell, provides new school clothing and/or necessities for elementary and middle school children.

Assistance League operates ReSale Connection, an upscale shop in downtown Rochester. We accept gently-used women’s clothing and necessities, household goods, and small furniture items.

Muscular Dystrophy Association of Greater Detroit

MDA is leading the fight to free individuals — and the families who love them — from the harm of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases that take away physical strength, independence and life. MDA serves over 1,800 clients and their families in metro Detroit and over 5,000 across Michigan.

– Gift Cards (Meijer, Kroger, Sam’s Club, Costco, gas cards) used to provide gas to families to get to summer camp
– Donations of items for auctions
– Hotel/Resort packages for auctions
– Free event venues
– Printing services
– Bottled water and snacks for volunteers at events
– Craft items for summer camps (100+ campers)
– Lunch for summer camps (200+ campers and volunteers)
– Tickets to sporting events
– Office Supplies – copy paper, pens, folders, etc. 

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: MDA volunteers serve as the driving force that helps families across metro Detroit. You’ll make experiences like MDA Summer Camp, fundraising events, seminars and many more possible for individuals with muscular dystrophy who are counting on us.
