Detroit Institute for Children

For almost 100 years, we have provided occupational, physical and speech language therapy, social work, psychological and special education services to children with special needs. In 2017, we launched a Summer Learning Program, SLIDE, designed to provide continuation of therapy services for children during the summer months. Offered at no cost to families, the program allows children who might not have services to continue to develop their skills. We make summer a time for fun and development for special kids! We provide workshops to help educate those who care and support children with special needs so that each child can reach their greatest potential. We ARE what special needs!
