Reflecting a profound respect for human life, the dignity of each person, and a commitment to strengthen families, Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan (CCSEM) annually assists more than 20,000 people of all faiths, races, and cultures. We offer 7 ministries with 13 locations in the six counties of southeast Michigan. Our ministries include:

  • Adoption and Foster Care Services for infants, children and teens (Southfield office serves Oakland, Macomb, Wayne and Monroe counties)
  • Adult Day Health Services for seniors with dementia (St. Clair Shores and Auburn Hills locations)
  • All Saints Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry (southwest Detroit)
  • Behavioral and Mental Health Counseling for individuals and families of all ages (7 offices in six counties)
  • Hispanic and Newcomer Outreach (Pontiac location)
  • Project Hope serving expectant mothers (Detroit, Monroe, and Royal Oak locations)
  • Volunteer Services for Seniors age 55 and older (Auburn Hills office)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan (CCSEM) has 3 senior volunteer programs available for individuals 55 years of age and older in Oakland and Macomb counties. Volunteers work with youth in schools through the Foster Grandparent Program, provide companionship to homebound older adults through the Senior Companion Program, and do a variety of other activities based on interest through the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit’s mission is to ensure that no one faces cancer alone. Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit ensures that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community. Our organization creates welcoming communities of free support for everyone living with cancer – men, women, teens and children – along with their families and friends. Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing emotional support, education and hope for people with cancer and their loved ones, free of charge.
