Warm Up the Oven for these Sweet Puppy Treats!

As you already know, WE LOVE DOGS! So here are some fantastic biscuit recipes we’ve put together for you to bake for your fur babies.

Chicken & Wild Rice Dog Biscuits

INGREDIENTS
• 6 oz boneless chicken breast, boiled or grilled; cooled
• ½ cup cooked wild rice; cooled
• ½ cup chicken stock
• 2 ½ cup all purpose flour
• ¼ tsp salt
• 1 egg

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine chicken, rice and stock in a mini food processor or blender and pulse until a past forms. In a bowl, add the flour, salt, egg and chicken paste and mix well. Sprinkle a little flour on a flat surface and knead dough until it’s no longer sticky; then roll it out with a rolling pin about ½ inch thick. Cut out shapes and place them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes until light brown. remove from oven and allow to cool completely before letting your canine’s have a taste.

Sweet Potato Dog Treats

INGREDIENTS
• 2 cups rolled oats or quick oats
• ½ cup cooked sweet potato
• 2 tbsp coconut oil
• 2-3 tbsp water

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°F. Add oats to food processor until they are a course flour like consistency. Add the cooked sweet potato and the coconut oil. Process until well combined. Add the water, 1 tablespoon at a time, pulsing in between until reaching a dough-like consistency. Knead together to create one large ball of “dough”. Roll out to about 3-4 mm thick. To prevent sticking to counters, sprinkle some flour on the surface; best if done on a silicone mat. If your dog is wheat intolerant then use oat flour, you can process a few more oats until they are flour, or roll out between two sheets of parchment paper. Cut out the biscuits with cookie cutters or a knife. Carefully transfer the cookies to a cookie sheet, bake for 20-25 minutes. Keep an eye on them towards the end as they go from ok to slightly over done very quickly. Let cool and store in an air tight container for up to 2 months.
