#Charituesday – The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit vs. Mothers Against Drunk Driving

The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit
The Salvation Army is a faith-based, non-profit organization dedicated to serving people in need without discrimination. At work in Michigan since 1887, it provides a wide range of services including emergency food assistance, emergency shelter, after-school programming, youth mentoring, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation services.

Volunteers are essential to helping the charity ‘Do the Most Good’ for neighbors in need throughout metro Detroit. The Salvation Army seeks volunteers for:
Bell ringers for Christmas Red Kettle campaign
Christmas toy shops
Bed & Bread (feeding) program
After school programs
Day camps
Music instruction
Food pantries
Clean-up & maintenance projects
Letter carriers food drive (May)

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)
The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving is to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes and prevent underage drinking.

Volunteers are always needed in all areas, e.g., administration, marketing/outreach, fundraising, victim services, drunk driving and underage drinking prevention.
