Muscular Dystrophy Association
MDA’s legacy of progress has always started with families at the heart of all we do. For more than 65 years, we have been committed to saving and improving the lives of kids and adults living with muscular dystrophy and related life-threatening diseases. We are proud of our rich history and grateful to the dedicated families and supporters who have made today’s progress possible. The victories of our past will lead to tomorrow’s treatments and cures.

Families are at the heart of MDA’s mission. A caring and concerned group of families started MDA in 1950, and we continue to relentlessly pursue our promise to free families from the life-threatening effects of muscular dystrophy and muscle-debilitating diseases today. MDA is fighting to free individuals — and the families who love them — from the devastating effects of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases so they can live longer and grow stronger.

Children’s Miracle Network at Beaumont Children’s Hospital
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raise funds for more than 170 premier children’s hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada. Founded in 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have two fundamental principles: 100% of the funds raised stay local and no child is ever turned away regardless of the family’s ability to pay.

In southeast Michigan, funds raised help support Beaumont Children’s Hospital. In 2014, more than 33 pediatric programs were funded to care for more than 100,000 local children. Donations to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals provide lifesaving equipment, impactful programs and services and transformational research for the community’s children.
